The hotel was modern and inviting with lots of little extras like snacks available for purchase. We did not take advantage of the spa or adjacent sports complex but it made a nice package for a longer stay. Comfortable beds, good shower and convenient restaurant with tasty offerings.
In the beautiful North Wales countryside, this award-winning, traditional British inn blends the warm welcome of a local pub with delicious food, excellent service and a comfortable bed.

Grynfrwn was wonderful! The town was delightful with many shops and a handful of restaurants. Lots of lunch and tea spots. There were plenty of sites to visit for a small town such as a castle, 1600s home, port area and church’s! The hotel had a great breakfast, and wonderful hosts and staff plus an American style bathroom. Would recommend this hotel to anyone!

The castle dominates the skyline on approach to the town. Wandering through it and climbing up the towers was awesome. The walk around the top of the city walls was also interesting. It was one of our two favorite places in Wales. It'sa very walkable small town. Had a great lunch at "Two on the Square" sandwich shop.
Historic town. EASILY walkable, cobbles notwithstanding. Everything (historic sites, restaurants, waterfront) easily accessible from anywhere inside the walls. Could be problematic for driving, but we trained in so not a problem for us. Near-perfect weather helped, but would still be a nice visit even with wet weather.

Conwy was a beautiful town that we enjoyed very much. We could walk everywhere and see the castle from anywhere. There were a lot of pubs with good food and we also ate at 2 higher end restaurants that we enjoyed very much. Walk to the quay and enjoy the locals and tourists having a good time.

We went to Conway for an Easter break with our 4 year old Grandchild. We also took our well behaved dog Harvey. We have travelled all over Europe with our dog and never had a problem taking him anywhere.
However most restaurants, pubs and shops in Conway we found would not allow dogs. Even the castle where we were unable to experience this main attraction with our grandchild and the staff being very dismissive when we asked. We were not allowed into the shoe shop!
Despite having a wonderful cottage to stay in, we will not be staying in Conway again and will inform other dog owners of this unfriendly side to the town.

Quiet at this time of year, (February) gets very busy in summer.
We found a good Indian restaurant, Spice Safai, only very small, but the food was very good.
Parking charges during the day are a bit high, not very welcoming for visitors, but they have you over a barrel!
The castle dominates the town and is quite something. We didn't visit it perhaps next time.
Lots of quirky shops etc.
Beautiful cottage which met the needs of our party perfectly. We loved the space, tastefully furnished interior and comfortable bedrooms with soft bedlinen. The large bathroom had a fantastic shower with two sinks and lots of space for toiletries and makeup. The hosts delivered a delicious homemade cake upon our arrival, which was a very nice gesture. The cottage was within short walking distance of the town's castle, cafes and restaurants. We would definitely recommend it to anyone wishing to visit this part of Wales.
-the most amazing and friendly hosts. They make us feel so welcome.
-the rooms are sparkling clean
-the bed is extra big and comfortable
-amazing facilities with a perfect bathroom
-Breakfast is outstanding and very tasty
-perfect location to visit Conwy Castle or Bodnant garden
-we have visited Wales many times and this is the best hotel we have ever stayed in with the most reasonable price
-will definitely stay here again to visit Conwy
What an amazing room/hotel to stay in for our weekend hiking Snowdon. Perfect location, ten minutes drive from Conwy Town and close to other towns like Colwyn Bay and LLandudno for the Great Orme. It was around 35 minutes to Llanberis town, where we were starting our Snowdon hike.
The room was large and comfortable, with incredible ground views. We were very happy with our stay!
Room was lovely, comfortable light and airy, TV great, staff very friendly, breakfast really tasty served in the cafe beneath the property. Plenty of tea, coffee, fresh milk and the mini fridge is a bonus along with the dishes, which came in handy for a take away. We stayed in Castle Conwy which was very spacious. Virtual check in very smooth and useful for a late arrival.
If you’re coming to north Wales, it’s the best place to stay ✌🏻
The view from room no.7 was exceptional 😍 and the best thing is that it’s in the middle of Llandudno and snowdonia and there’s also a small city with a castle (CANTÎN). Overall our experience was very good . ✌🏻
Room was neat and clean.
Staff was
The hotel is in an excellent position for touring the north Wales coastline. We had an excellent large room with sea views and views of Conwy Castle. Evening meals were good overall but could have done with more options on the menu. There was a birthday card waiting in the room for my wife which was a nice gesture.
The room was very comfortable, clean and tidy. The breakfast was very good with fresh, local and tasty ingredients and dinner menus had a reasonable choice and variety. The hotel's town centre location was very convenient for walking and access to sights and amenities
A lovely little hotel on a cobbled street in the heart of Conwy. Very close to the castle, train station, restaurants and bars. Beautiful inside and out, with free parking adjacent. Comfy bed, amazing shower. Lovely breakfast which is in the pub over the road.
We’ve stayed at the Castle before and the hotel itself is excellent. The rooms are tastefully decorated and very comfortable. It’s always been excellent value for money and is full of character with a lovely bar area.
A really comfy space in a great location and quiet area. It’s perfect for easy access to Conwy and the coastal walks and with super handy parking nearby or out front if you’re lucky.
Owners Delyth and Graham are exceptionally nice and helpful. Rooms beautifully decorated and comfortable. Scenic location- so glad we stayed here instead of Conwy town.
The location of Gwynfryn cannot be beat! It is literally steps away from the town center. Conwy is a very small town and everything is just a short walk away anyway.
The location was right near the castle and town centre. Lovely hot shower with good pressure. Cosy and comfortable beds. Free use of Netflix and Sky TV.
