Big, bustling town-centre hotel, with a long and interesting history. Had plenty of charm and was comfortable, if a little cramped in our room, which to be fair, was described as "cosy". Dinner and breakfast were very good. Had a great stay here.

We chose the B&B option and had some really good breakfasts at the venue. In town for a wedding and the front desk was great at directing us around and ordering a cab for us.
Lovely place , plenty of choice to eat and drink , great...
Lovely place , plenty of choice to eat and drink , great views from the wheel. Also , I would just like to correct myself , the name was Jackie who was front of house , not Julia , we had contact with Julia before arriving , whole gave a good belly laugh , the smoky negative I had from the staff was the on duty Manager , the rest of the staff were amazing

Beaumaris is a beautiful costal town.
Beaumaris is a beautiful costal town. It has panoramic views over the Menai Straits. There are plenty of eating options for every taste. The town has an artistic focus with many art outlets and gift shops. There are also opportunities to attend workshops. We dined at Bishopsgate hotel and The Liverpool hotel. Food at both establishments was delicious and the staff were very friendly. Lots of lovely walk from the town centre and a castle and jail house to visit. The town is very easy to walk around and there is ample parking space not too far from the town cwntre.

Lots of things to see in Beaumauris.
Lots of things to see in Beaumauris. The castle is worth a visit with views of the Menai straits. There is a large car park on the sea front at £6 for all day parking. There are free, clean public toilets in the centre of town. Lots of great shops and eating places. I took a boat trip around Puffin Island, there are a couple of companies doing these, it lasted 1 hour 20 minutes and well worth doing. The sea is a bit choppy around the island due to the water currents.

Booked hotel to take a morning boat trip to Puffin island, trip was cancelled due too bad weather, we later found out that the puffins were not there at that time of year, so check they are nesting before you go. Nice little town ok for a day visit.

There is so much to do in such a small and pretty village. The castle is two minutes from the hotel which displays lots of historical information. Lots of independent shops are great for browsing and offer locally produced goods.
St. Mary and St. Nicholas church offers free entry and is a beautiful building with an information sheet offering more details on its history.

beautifull welsh town with nice old cottages and buildings.
beautifull welsh town with nice old cottages and buildings. loads of local history including the Beaumaris castle. my favourite part is the Barron hill estate that I really love. the history behind it is amazing and not many people know its there. best pub for food is defiantly the George and dragon and the meals are good quality and get loads. one place to avoid in my opinion is the ye old bull. no staff and there rude in there plus overpriced.
The location is excellent in the heart of the town. The building, from 1706, creaks everywhere and the floors are uneven and funny. The bedroom was large and comfortable. The bed was bigger than some rooms we've had in other hotels! The refurbished restaurant was large and attractive. The menu was very extensive with something for everyone's taste. The management couple were very welcoming and ensured that standards were maintained. The staff were very friendly and pleasant and worked very hard to look after guests.
Everything was most enjoyable about our stay. The food in the restaurant was delicious, especially the scallops starter and the hake main course. The hotel was old and interesting but with a modern twist. Finally, all the staff were most welcoming and professional. I'd like to praise whoever had trained the restaurant staff, who were mostly quite young but who were efficient, polite and knew their job.
The Bulkley Hotel has a fantastic location overlooking the Menai Straights in the lovely town of Beaumaris. it certainly has charm and elegance. It is a bit quirky and is independently owned which I like. The dining room is fantastic and the food was good. The staff did their best to make us feel comfortable and welcome despite obvious issues.
No, you wont get all the facilities of a modern hotel, that is not what this place is,. You will get superb value for money, attentive staff, clean comfortable rooms, gorgeous extremely large bed, lovely beer garden, nice selection of beers at the pumps, beautiful decor and convenient location in a pretty town. I would not hesitate to go back.
The views from the property are absolutely lovely and the location is superb - there's so much to see in the area and things to do for everyone. I recommend driving round the coast of the whole island and there are some truly spectacular beaches with mountain views. Also the Bulkeley Hotel does a nice dinner service and is a 1 min walk away.
By far the best guest house in Beaumaris! Nothing was too much to ask and we enjoyed a wonderful stay at this lovely property.
I have been staying at Beaumaris for years and this is undoubtedly the best accommodation of its type in the village. Rooms were lovely, perfectly situated and the service was absolutely fantastic.
It was beautifully decorated and really peaceful. Our host could not do more for us accommodating an extra bed for our daughter. The apartment was beyond spotless and the kitchen was one of the best equipped self catering ones I have ever used. We will look to book again if we come back to Anglesey.
The location is 1 block from the waterfront, the same from the remains of the castle, and likewise from the main street, all of which is on the level, so exceptionally easy to walk to all. There is also a very small pub in the back of the hotel, which was quite handy and seemed very "local".
The location was ideal for amenities shops bars etc. When booking this hotel online other reviews had states a dog friendly hotel however this only applies to the restaurant not the accommodation. The manager was very accommodating & allowed us to have the dog stay in our room for 1 night.
Probably the best located hotel in Beaumaris. Very central and noticable. The ground floor is a pub but you can't hear it from above. Beds are very comfy. Shampoo and body wash are provided. The staff are very friendly.
The staff were more than helpful, the meals were delicious and the residents lounge was very comfy. Our room was spacious and clean. The hotel was in the centre of Beaumaris so in easy walking distance to shops etc.
lovely quiet spot with views across to Snowdonia and a short walk to the beach. Some lovely walks from the door meant we didnt need to drive to o and explore and we loved Anglesey, the locals and Beaumaris all round
The location was good and easy to find. Good location for getting about and touring around Anglesey.
Plenty of space in the cottage and the grounds. Quiet & peaceful; plenty of parking.
The hotel is dog friendly. Our room was spacious. It had parking which is scarce in Beaumaris. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating.
Two minutes from the beach.
